This update is a bit late. On March 1st I was part of a group art show called “Wonder– an art show.” It was held at the Village Brewery in Calgary, Canada. The group consisted of painter Mandy Stobo, and photographers Vanessa Neufeld and Amy Espetveidt.
WONDER is such an important word to me. Wonder is a curious dream that seduces us outside of our comfort zone. OR wonder can be what we’re left with when we don’t believe enough.
I felt like it went well. I would definitely do it again. I had lots of support from family and friends. It was overwhelming at first. Saying that, I feel like I missed out on chatting with other people. I guess that’s part of the learning process.
I decided to show less work, but keep it uniform.
4 drawings from my BIOLOGY series: INSIDES, DREAM, BLOOM, SPECIMEN
ABSTRACT DREAM 1 (acrylic on canvas)
ABSTRACT DREAM (acrylic on canvas)
TRANSFORMATIONS (digital mixed media)
PARTITIONS (ink on paper).
In other news, I will be going to South America (Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima and a stop in Mexico City) in April! Very exciting.
I’m working on some new drawings. I hope to show something here soon.
